Who are we you ask?
We are just like you! We speak for the pony clubbers, the ride at home folks, the adult riders, the trail riders, the once in a blue moon riders, the riding mums, the lower eventers and the likes!
We started this business with the aim of producing pony clubbers and lower level eventers, being in and around this field, we know what it’s like trying to find a horse suitable for these disciplines and the types of riders commonly looking.
When we bring a horse into our program, our absolute main aim is for them to become a moulded mount for pony club and the likes. Now days there is many fancy horses and re-trainers out there, but we had you in mind when we started!
What can we teach?
Well Megan is an experienced endurance rider, games rider, show jumper, and eventer. From 160km rides, to flying down the bending poles, cantering through cross country, to jumping a mtr course, she has many areas of experience which are needed when testing out your next mount.
Megan has competed at National’s for her local pony club. This involves games, dressage and jumping.
Angela is more the behind the scenes type, with experience from pony club, hacking, lower level jumping, strapping for higher grades, and the ability to test the horses with a less ambitious rider. She’s done the years and miles, but is happy poking along for fun at the lower levels, she says she doesn’t bounce anymore! She mainly handles the groundwork, the floating, the nutrition, the daily care and a few other things.
All horses go through basic flatwork assessment to see where they are at, exposed to poles, grids and small jumps, undergo local trail rides and road rides, participate in local pony club outings and training days. By the time they are ready for a new home they should all be able to easily handle grades 5 &4 eventing, with the exception of some being more educated, or jumping higher. On occasion a horse with much more talent may pass through, which is where Megan will step up the horses education and ability. By all means we focus on the true pony clubber types, and aim for the lower level riders, but this doesn’t mean the horse won’t take you up the grades when ready!
We aren’t * eventers, we aren’t grand prix dressage riders, we aren’t that at all, we are here for you and your needs, you won’t find us training Olympic horses, we are here to attempt to supply a range of pony clubber type horses.
